Participation & Risk Acknowledgement

Urban Tribe sessions are designed to encourage child-led play, creativity, exploration, and social interaction in both indoor and outdoor environments. By completing my booking and attending an Urban Tribe session, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Supervision & Attendance: Urban Tribe is a ‘parent’-present community play organization and is not a childcare provider. I remain fully responsible for the supervision, behaviour, and wellbeing of my child(ren) at all times, and I am responsible for my own safety while attending.
• Nature of Play & Environment: I understand that sessions involve physical activity, outdoor exploration, and loose-parts play. I acknowledge that the environments (especially outdoor spaces) may feature uneven terrain, mud, or natural hazards. I accept that minor injuries (such as bumps, scrapes, trips, or slips) can occasionally occur as a natural part of these activities to both adults and children.
• Suitability, Clothing & Health: I am responsible for assessing whether the activities and environment are suitable for myself and my child(ren), and ensure we are wearing appropriate clothing and footwear. I will inform Urban Tribe of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or support requirements that may affect our participation.
• Safety & Guidance: I agree that both I and my child(ren) will follow any reasonable safety guidance provided by Urban Tribe staff or volunteers.
• Personal Property: I acknowledge that Urban Tribe is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings brought to the sessions.

Urban Tribe will take all reasonable steps to provide a safe, welcoming, and well-managed environment for all participants.

Nothing in this acknowledgement excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability where exclusion would be unlawful under the laws of England and Wales.

By completing my booking, I confirm that I have read, understood, and accept this Participation & Risk Acknowledgement for myself and the child(ren) in my care.
